Lifted from [livejournal.com profile] elisem.

1. What time is it? (Four-thirty. It's not late, no.) 9:12.

2. Name: Legal name is Heather Anne Nicoll. Other names are various.

3. Favorite Colour: Somewhere down in the murky realms between green and blue, the dark and the rich and the vibrant.

4. Nickname: Various. I'm often known as Darkhawk, which is perhaps more properly filed under 'name', given that it's an aspect name. But it'll do as a handle. I also seem to answer to a wide variety of roleplaying character names, some of whom I haven't played in ages; [livejournal.com profile] lstone often absentmindedly refers to me as "Gabe", and we carry on for a while before we realise that that was another country, and besides, the wench is undead.

5. Number of candles on last birthday cake: . . .you know, I don't remember the last time I had a birthday cake. And I wish I knew where the SFR for fudge cake was, because I've had a craving for three years or so.

6. Birthday: 3 February 1978.

7. Pets: Arthur, the stupid orange tabby cat; Lennon, the significantly smarter tuxedo cat with the beautymark; Kundalini, the royal python (currently in shed). May get some fish later when my garden's established. [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan has fish.

8. Hair colour: Brown. Currently hennaed, though a bit intermittently; it has reddish highlights if I get sun anyway.

9. Piercings: No.

10. Eye colour: Brown.

11. How much do you love your job?: It's not so much that I love it as needing it in order to be alive properly, y'know?

12. Hometown: At the moment, I'm not sure I have one, really. It's not here. But I don't think it's where I was a child, either, because . . . the place that was there isn't, anymore. And I don't think it's where Dad is either. And it's definitely not any of the other places I've lived. So I guess I'll find out if I ever get to live there.

13. Current Residence: Lynn, Massachusetts, USA, across the street from the scary pink house.

14. Been toilet papering? Nope.

15. Loved somebody so much it made you cry? Yeah. In good ways and bad ways. When I was seventeen, my family went to the UK for three weeks one summer, and [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan saw us all off at the airport. I wonder if he noticed that I cried when we left. (I don't think so. So I guess this is an oblique way of telling him.)

16. Been in a car accident? Yeah. Couple weeks ago.

17. Croutons or bacon bits? Hnrrr. Croutons, most of the time. Except on baked potatoes.

18. Favorite day of the week: Naw. But now I've got that "Eight Days a Week" earworm back, which may or may not be [livejournal.com profile] xiphias's fault. I'll blame him anyway. ;)

19. Favorite word or phrase: If this is supposed to be a 'one used most frequently', I suspect at least at the moment it's "Yow". Blame Lennon.

20. Favorite restaurant: Mary's, in Cambridge. Best hot and sour soup ever.

21. Favorite flower: Orchids, irises, and lilies I'm all quite fond of.

22. Favorite drink: Hm. My spiced cocoa is nice. IBC root beer. For sheer volume of consumption, Coke and whole milk. For alcohol, the one I mix for myself most often is a lime rickey, and I'm also fond of meads.

23. Favorite sports to watch: Baseball, natch. Also I'm fond of soccer.

24. Favorite ice cream: Tosci's cinnamon and ginger snap molasses, in the same dish. The homemade M&M ice cream from one of the little shops on Chincoteague Island when I was a child.

25. Favorite fast food restaurant: Buh. I don't know. Actually, probably not qualifying as fast food, but we go to Subway a wicked lot.

26. What colour is your bedroom carpet: Looks like wood to me. When I was a kid in Hyattsville, it was a red and orange yarn shag, though. It ate my loose change, and approximately everything else.

27. How many times did you fail your driver's test: Null question.

28. Before this, who did you get email from? Most recently, I think [livejournal.com profile] brooksmoses. Either him or Graydon, or someone on the Bosox mailing list.

29. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card? I think I have [livejournal.com profile] elisem's objection to this one, and will take the same rearrangement, to "Which store would you choose for an all-expense shopping spree?" And there I have two choices, I think: one of them to a really, really good bookstore, the sort I could go through at tremendous length, and for that sort of thing, I think I'd pick the New England Mobile Book Fair. The NEMBF with unlimited budget is a scary notion, really.

The other notion would be for things I could make things with, and I don't know whether to go to the large construction end of that making things, and find things to build a larger lily tank and a greenhouse and various bookcases and my naos and the like in, complete with all the appropriate decoration supplies, or to go on the artistic side, and go for the kiln and clay supplies, the fabrics, the beadery things, the paints, the glass to paint, the metal to work with, and all the various other miscellanea. I'm not sure where I'd go with either of those. I might do one of those massive home-supply places, like the Home Depot, and do all of that and garden supplies too.

30. What do you do most often when you are bored? Play Minesweeper, to be embarassedly honest. Sometimes read, cycle through all the stuff I read online. Occasionally harass [livejournal.com profile] oneironaut to work on the genorirelgeekcode.

31. Most annoying thing people ask me: Generally anything that I'd answered in the exchange immediately preceding the one in which the question was located. Not that that's a current bitch point or anything.

32. Bedtime? Generally sometime between two and four in the morning, depending on various.

33. Who will respond to this entry the quickest? I dunno. If I mention it to the gang ([livejournal.com profile] oneironaut, [livejournal.com profile] keeps, [livejournal.com profile] lstone, [livejournal.com profile] annwyd) I suspect they'll all not comment just to demonstrate me wrong. And anyway [livejournal.com profile] lstone just wandered off to soak his head.

34. Who is not likely to respond? I'd guess all those people who read and tend not to post comments. Y'all know who you are. ;)

35. Favorite TV shows: Hrm. The only one I watch regularly these days is Stargate SG-1. I like Farscape better. We have Bab-5 tapes.

36. Last person you went out to dinner with? [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and [livejournal.com profile] keshwyn.

37. Time you finished this? 9:44.

I always look at these survey meme things, start to fill out answers, then run into a question that irritates me, and give up and erase the entire thing. I think I'm somehow lacking in patience. Or boredom. One or the other.

A meme, A meme, my kingdom for a meme!

I note, as a somewhat random thing, that [livejournal.com profile] sinboy seemed rather entertained (in a good way) by the fact that he and you came out as a remarkably good match.

Meanwhile, it appears that the site is currently not accepting new logins, so I can't go play with it. Ah, well, what a horrid tragedy that will not be, although it might have been amusing. *grin*
