Two major characters, male; one currently undistinguished chieftain-seeking-greater-rulership or something, or possibly a younger son, one mysterious stranger who for some reason latches onto the first.

Mysterious stranger: good at tracking, stealth, social combat, some fighting, prefers to avoid. Has daughter; hooks daughter up with chieftain.

Caravan on edge of desert.
